They're not buying our players.
We have 9 midfielders for 3 positions. We have 4 right wingers, 5 if you include greenwood who's on our payroll. We still have Bailly. I can't fathom how we haven't gotten rid of these players.

Had forgotten we still had Bailly. His contract must surely be running out soon?

Idk but I won't be surprised if it's a long contract.
Remember, we tried to give Pogba a bumper contract just about 13 months ago.

Hojlund might turn out well but if we were going to spend big on a young prospect we should have gone for Evan Ferguson. What a player. A Man Utd player all day long. Or at least a United player of old. Fergie wouldn't have thought twice.

I just watched him bang in a hattrick against Newcastle. Looks mint.

I know Di Zerbi is the flavour of the month but his football and ideas really are great. If/when Pep leaves City, Di Zerbi will walk into the job. Whether he can manage the egos is another thing. But the quality of the football wouldn't change. He's a true coach in that he's making decent players play great, effective football.

Might sound premature but I'd be looking at De Zerbi to replace Hag when the time comes. Timing probably won't work though, unless Hag tanks this season.

Aye. United fan as well. Means fuck all like when state clubs are involved. Could easily see him going to City/Chelsea/Newcastle.

Really hope Hag is a fan of him. We might have to move in a Jan to have a chance. And sell 2-3 players.

If the club had a capable CEO we will clearly instruct ten hag that we must get rid of the crap before we buy a single player.
If we can't get our main targets and our season suffers as a result, so be it. We'll lower the expectations and hopefully buy some young talented players who're yet to make it.
If we're not challenging for the title, then I don't care about top 4 and the champions league. Why should I care about our champs league if we're guaranteed going to be thumped by a superior team, and with no sign of progress?

Next season, unless any of them come good, we must boot all of these players, regardless of incomings.
RB - AWB and Dalot out.
LB - Malacia, Williams and Alvarez out.
CB - Maguire, Lindelof and Bailly out.
CM - VDB, McTominay out
RW - Sancho, Antony, Greenwood, Pellistri and Diallo out. That's 5 players!
LW - Shoetire out
CF - Martial out

None of these players have ever played well for us so far.
We should have sold most of them already but now that they're here, we boot them if they don't cement their place in the team this season.

If the new signings ie Amrabat, Hojlund and Mount are shit, boot them out as well.

Fans here are only piling on Sancho now after this game. Not many cared to whine about why he was still here prior to the Arsenal game.
The time is gone.

We must get rid of these players I listed next summer.

Has any team ever got rid of 17 players in one window?
