Think that's all our business will consist of now. Like last season, emergency loans to plug the holes.

Mental how far we've fallen. Shame Hoffenheim bought Weghorst tbf, we could've had him on loan again as a warm body.

Looked quite promising to start with tbf, even though some would question Mount over Caicedo etc but at least the club were backing the Manager. Now it's on ETH to prove that his choices are the right ones for whatever system he is planning. But puzzling tranfers like selling Kovak and Hendo and letting DDG leave on a free was mad. Perhaps not seriously chasing a DM because ETH thought Mainoo was going to be available, who knows.

Agree it's on Ten Hag to an extent and he has been backed with "his" players.

Still not 100% his fault if it goes wrong though because there's no way a transfer strategy should consist of asking him who he wants. He should have the last word on transfers, not the first word.

And of course we still have the permanent problem of not being able to shift players + paying our premiums on incoming players limiting his capacity to change things fully. If we were to tank this season and he got the sack, I'd feel really sorry for him tbf. Being the United manager in 2023 is like doing your job with one hand tied behind your back.

Amrabat confirmed, €10m loan fee + €20m if we want to sign him at the end of the loan period. Which is pretty much what we would have paid for him if we had signed him permanently this season. IMO, this is good business, an upgrade on Fred and VdB and for not a lot of money.

The scousers have signed Gravenberch for €45m, some might argue that he is a better buy given his age and potential but he barely played any minutes for Bayern last season, which makes me wonder whether he's another Sabitzer or whether he can be another Bellingham.....time will tell....

Gravenberch was hot property last season and it's not often highly rated Ajax players turn out to be shit. €45m probably the going rate for a midfield squaddy with a bit of potential. Only United pay €70-80m for those ones.

Is this an option to buy or an obligation to buy?
Isn't Gravenberch a former Ten Hag player? Even he doesn't want him.

I'm surprised we haven't trimmed more of the squad. We're still overloaded with players in some positions.
For instance, Amad is in the squad so we have 4 right wingers currently in Antony, Sancho, Pellistri and Amad.
Why haven't we sold/loaned 2 of them?

Liverpool might want to consider selling Salah for 150m or more. They could strengthen a lot areas with that money. Similar to Spurs selling Kane. For non state run clubs Saudi deals are a lifeline to help compete with the state cheaters.
