Sid, we not going to be relegated ffs.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑1 year agoWhile the door is revolving, they need to ensure we stay in the Prem and make the club profitable again. I just think Ratcliffe bought a stake 18 months ago. The sale was agreed well before that, in 2023. 18 months / 2 years is a long time in football. It moves fast. Ineos are dragging their heels getting the recruitment sorted. As everyone knows it's vital in today's game. They've also made mistakes like hiring Ashworth. I think they're trying their best but they're struggling.
"I wasn't expecting a total rebuild, or even half. I expect progress given that we finished 15th. It could easily have been 17th. And the fact that statistically our form under Amorim would have got us relegated had we appointed him earlier. It's urgent. But if they're still hiring key positions on the recruitment side then we'll do well to stand still this summer."
Let's try and look at the positives, if we are in the bottom 3 at Christmas, then yea, you can start to talk about us being relegated.
There's too much pessimism here. I'm not expecting a cl challenge, but let's see how we get on, with a proper pre season, some more recruitment, top half finish, and move from there.
