Actually really dislike Ratcliffe. For a bloke who goes on about being a fan and a local, it’s at best, mindless. Manchester and Manchester United are a city and a football club built on migrants. We probably wouldn’t have a football club if it wasn’t for migrants in the early days as Newton Heath and the modern history of the football club is built on people like Denis Irwin, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Ole, Cristiano Ronaldo and Peter Schmeichel, amongst others.

Bang on. Same as the cunts who go for a curry in Rusholme then complain about immigration once they get home. 2+2=5 for a lot of people.

For me the most egregious thing is the benefits stuff though. Ratty coming from Failsworth is a great argument for the welfare state, growing up at the time he did when it was at it's height. No way he gets where he does without the government investment post-war. Just another Thatcherite who got out of poverty and wants to pull the ladder up after himself.

What concerns me is that he’s looking for a Labour government and a Labour mayor who contribute financial to the new stadium plan, but then can’t resist gobbling off with his right wing opinions to the press. Easy to see how this can hurt the club.

As is fucking off to live in Monaco to avoid paying tax, apparently. I'm all for sensible dialogue on how to balance immigration and tax revenue/spend etc, and it is nuanced, but I won't be lectured to by self interested cunts like that. Nope.
