Some lovely combos, flicks and understanding between the front 4-5. Pressing was really good. Burnley had all of the ball but couldn’t do much with it.

Only Burnley and it took a bit of magic to win so not getting carried away at all.

Bit mad that Burnley dominated the ball. I know they play possession football but the quality of their players ain't great.

I think Hag is going to have to relent on trying to dominate possession against most teams this season. We don't have the players.

Getting players to play possession based football is not a problem. Van gaal proved that easily and very quickly even before he bought a bunch of players.

The lack of possession is all tactics clearly. In midfield when we looked to pass forward, no one would be available nearby for build up play. I saw many players running towards the penalty area hoping to receive a through ball or a lob.

So Ten Hag is setting up these tactics on purpose which won't give us much possession in any game.

Yeah it was mad but kinda sensible. On paper a lot of our starting 11 are not that much better quality wise than Burnley’s (Hannibal, McT, Dalot, Lindelof, Reguilon, Evans). We pressed them well and I’d say the majority of their possession was their CB’s and other deeper players.

Hope we can do the same against Palace now. Rashford looks low on confidence, Hojlund not quite match fit and Hannibal/McT were good for a few mistakes so there’s room for improvement.
