Football is cruel, cruel in that we still have Maguire and Lindelhoof at CB

Gutting to lose like that. From a win to defeat.

On the plus side, we looked much better with a proper striker on.

We played like the underdog and we eventually paid the price.

Ten Hag said we deserved to win this game. :))
He also said if we look at the Wolves game, you can see we've made big progress. :))
Is he mad?

Right I've calmed down now but still annoyed about that VAR bullshit. So much better when you knew straight away back in the day. Ruins the spectacle. I know it's here to stay but I'll be fervently against it for as long as I watch football. Not arsed that it was offside (although IMO no linesman would've called it because he's essentially level if his shoulder is off), just arsed that you go through all that joy - the only point we fucking watch football - for some cunts in a box to say no. And the linos wait minutes sometimes before flagging because they know VAR sorts it out.

Anyway, dumb defending at the end cost us so no guarantee it would've been the winner. Can't help thinking our starting back 4 would've been more stable in those final minutes though. Not used to consistently losing to Arsenal at the Emirates. We had that great run of mugging them off for what seemed like a decade.

Overall really fucking decent approach play considering we're forced to play on the counter and Hojlund looked very bright once he came on. Finally a forward who doesn't get bullied about or falls over looking for a decision. Reminds me a bit of Hughes or Ruud. Needs to get on the scoresheet ASAP.

Hojlund actually looked really good when he came on.
Arsenal couldn't attack as much because he seemed like a threat.
His hold up play also helped us keep possession in the final third.

This probably means he'll get injured sometime this season, considering how things have gone for us.
