The club went looking for investment or new owners. It never happened. The club has done absolutely nothing about Greenwood, making no decision, as usual, resulting in the worst of all worlds. The club didn’t take up West Ham’s offers to buy surplus players like Maguire and McTominay, preventing further investment in the squad. Henderson is still at the club, unused. Presumably he’ll eventually run down his contract and leave on a free, just like Lingard. Wages spent on someone who doesn’t play, transfer income opportunities ignored. The simple fact is that nothing ever happens at United. No important decision ever gets mad. The club just continues to drift downward, aimlessly. The occasional new signing manages to acquit themselves well, but that doesn’t amount to competent squad management, not even close.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑1 year ago Rarely seen United fans leave like that. I think the state the club is in eg the Glazers still being here is killing us. Some will start to think the Hag era is another false dawn.
Not shifting McT and Maguire to raise funds for a CF or midfielder looks like a very bad decision - one that could fuck our season up. Maybe the club will act now. We've got two weeks until the transfer window shuts which, knowing the Glazers, isn't long enough to make a decision.
