I think that was the biggest issue; the midfield not working. Nowt going forward and nowt going backwards. If Tottenham are playing big Ange football, they'll smash through us.

Having Hojlund up front will help because he'll press from the front, and allow Rashford to go back wide where he's a threat. That will pin teams back. But yeah you can see why Hag wants another midfielder eg Amrabat.
Aye if we switch it up as it seems we might need a different player altogether. Casemiro is all action and worked best with someone tidier beside him. If Hag wants a lone DM then he need someone much more calm and tidier in possession. We could do with a Carrick. I’ve read that Amrabat is in that mould. Very tidy but not really imposing. We’ll see.

It wasn't the players fault. Ten hag has clearly asked the whole goddamn team to attempt Bruno style passes to immediately transition from defence to attack. Casemiro was left alone and a lot of fans are blaming him for the performance.
A mad blunder and any other team would have destroyed us tonight.

Interesting channel this. Not sure you can win games purely on the whiteboard but it's nice to see an overview, especially as it's how Ten Hag thinks.

Confirms what we saw last night. Ten Hag got the theory right but Wolves surprised us and he didn't really switch it up - maybe couldn't with those subs. Get the feeling he thought it'd be a doddle so he tried to have us play like a "top side" but we either still don't have the players for it or they aren't properly drilled. If it's equally turgid against Spurs, we could easily lose. Might have to stick to last seasons tactics for a bit to help Casemiro.
