I watched the extended highlights on the official website.
So far it looks like Mount is Van De Beek mk II.
He doesn't seem to be involved in the game. Worrying signs.

I'm not going to judge anyone on pre-season, especially a new signing. But I never really rated Mount. He's always been very 'meh' to me and I don't understand the signing. There were far better options in my opinion, but its clearly who Hag wanted so he needs to be backed.

The first United player I recall having this problem was Kagawa.
He somehow could never get involved enough. Thankfully Fergie got rid of him quickly. Actually kleberson too tbf.

So Mainoo and Diallo have gotten injured, Mainoo out for months apparently. That’s a really shit outcome from the preseason, because two were the best prospects we had of younger players already on the books making a contribution to the senior team. Could still happen of course, but it’s a big delay and a setback.

Think I mentioned the only time I've seen him was the CL final vs City, and he was unreal in that.

Apparently we still look really short up front like last season.

It's a big ask of a very young striker in Hojlund, who came for a big fee n all, to give us the 20/25 goals a season we need

He'll make the team play better so we'll get more goals from the rest of the team. But he'll still need to bang in a fuckload himself if we're gonna do anything.
