Watched the goals. Very nice assist from Sancho. Happy for big Tony. Hope he’s back properly now if Rashford is out.
Much, much better than Brentford.

Very convincing Sid. Good tempo and energy throughout, a quickness to our play, lots of chances created and should have been much more emphatic, Everton rallied for 15 mins or so second half before our 2nd, but they never really caused us too many problems and tbh, I thought they looked really poor. They’re in trouble.

Very encouraging from us though, particularly the intensity and energy levels for the full 90. No sign of fatigue today,
The fatigue thing is interesting as in how they can look knackered in one game and not the next. I wonder if knowing Eriksen was going to return gave them a massive boost - enough to mentally block the effects of fatigue. It seems that way.

On that, Hag said Rashford's injury looks bad, and he blamed the amount of games - "you can't play 3 games in 6 days"

He's right. To go from playing weds night to the early kick off Saturday is a joke. Our game should have been tomorrow. Whether that would have made a difference who knows, but Rashford is the one play we couldn't afford to lose.

Ten hag should have subbed off Rashford if he was worried. He doesn't even sub Bruno off in games where we're comfortably winning.

There's no one else to take his place though. Subbing Rash early to meaningfully dodge injury vastly reduces your chance of winning. It was a gamble, but one Hag had to take.

The blame lies with the Glazers for putting the club in such a dire financial state that the only CF we could afford in Jan was a Burnley reject on a temporary loan. He has his uses but he's not a goalscorer.

We turnover 600m plus annually but can't afford a 10 goal a season bench warming striker.

Hag moans much, much less than the likes of Klopp, Pep and Arteta. Its one of the things I like about him, he takes personal responsibility. He was asked about this very point in his post match presser and basically said ‘it’s a fair question and with hindsight I should have done, but with how little Rashford and Martial have played together I wanted to give them minutes to build a connection, in a game we were comfortable in’.

A very fair answer in my mind. As you say, the blame lies with the Glazers for the chronic lack of depth in certain key positions.

Saw some proper highlights and you lot were right. Better than Brentford. How the fuck we didn't score 5 is beyond me.

Antony is growing with each game IMO. He loves that long shot a bit too much but once we have a proper number 9 and are able to put away chances, he'll be forgiven a bit more. Looks shitter when the team only takes 1 from 10 chances.

Bruno has adjusted to that deep role a lot better. Still worry how much space he'll get away from home though. He got swamped against Newcastle and it blunted us.

In spite of the negativity here, I thought Sancho had a really solid game. Linked things up very nicely and got a lovely assist. When we get numbers forward like Dortmund do, he looks a different prospect. A proper number 9 like he had there would help too.

Gutted about Rashford but think we'll cope. Just hope it doesn't mean Weghorst at 9 and Martial wide.
