I really think we can do it. Haven’t felt this optimistic for years.
The squad is still a bit thin but the manager has done a sterling job turning things around. Still need a bit of luck, that we stay reasonably injury free, but looking good.
Will we get top 4?
Someone beside Rashford needs to step up and regularly score goals.
Good weekend for us in the top four race, with the likes of Newcastle and Spurs dropping points. Newcastle are really struggling for goals now, they’ve only scored three in their last six games I think. So they’re starting to drop down the table, not sure if they can turn it around.

It's an interesting one with Newcastle. Top 4 is a bonus to fans but somewhat of a necessity for the club. Changes to FFP mean they need the CL money to be able to spend more and make the next step whilst being compliant. And now the Prem are going after City for bogus sponsorships, it's not certain the Saudis will be able to go down that route - certainly not as easily.bman2 wrote: ↑9 months ago Good weekend for us in the top four race, with the likes of Newcastle and Spurs dropping points. That’s a good point. Be interesting to see if the PL is going to give FFP any real teeth.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑9 months agoIt's an interesting one with Newcastle. Ten hag spent the most money in the summer. How can top 4 be a bonus for the fans? The fact that Liverpool and Chelsea are probably out of the running for 2 spots makes it even more unacceptable if we miss out.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑9 months agoIt's an interesting one with Newcastle. Tbf ten hag is doing well so far and we're almost title challengers, in terms of points, although we clearly don't pass the eye test. There is good progress in terms of both though.

I was talking about Newcastle not United. But tbf, top 4 is also very important to us because we risk not being compliant with FFP changes too. The money going out is more than the money coming in.dozer wrote: ↑9 months agoTen hag spent the most money in the summer. How can top 4 be a bonus for the fans? That would be funny as fuck.
Neville was right about Arsenal, it's come down to mettle, resilience, all the cliches - and they don't have it.
It says something about the quality of the Prem that a weakened City who are struggling to play good even functional football at times are probably going to win the league again. That'll be something like 5 titles in the last 6. The state doping has created a boring monopoly which hopefully will affect the popularity and finances of Prem, cos then they might actually do something about it.
