Out of surgery already. Won't be back this season but hopefully for pre-season he'll be up and about again.

A break might do him good tbh. If he'd have completed the season he'd have played a fuck load of games, including a world cup, that can't be good for players long term.

Yup, be a good idea to drop the League Cup imho. Make it a reserve team competition maybe?
