Setting up a thread for this fella. I think he'll be a cult hero.

A proper defenders performance. Someone who actually wants to defend. You know, even though he's only 3,6 or something.

Bang on, you wouldn't know he'd only been here a month on Monday nights performance, if he puts in the same level of commitment again smaller teams because he just wants to win games he'll be an absolute gem.

Consistency is key for a defender. Let's hope.

His play on the ball is class, it will help enable Hag's football. In that vid he's always in the right place at the right time unlike Slabhead and Hoof. His height is only a minor drawback when he can do everything else so well. Also looks like he has some shithouse tactics in the locker too.

He'd probably be even better as a 6; a natural defender, great positioning, strong but can play as well.

There's a vid from the Brentford game which shows talk of him being physically dominated is bollocks too. The one time it was a problem was their 3rd goal when he was bundled over the line. By that point we were 2-0 down and properly on the back foot.

There we are. Doesn't look like he was exposed physically to me, in fact he looks just fine. Good positioning, good use of the ball, and wins his physical duels. Its a lazy narrative, fueled by the fact he was hooked at HT and we were getting smashed.

This guy is going to be one of our best post-Fergie signings. Save this message and quote me later!

We really should be making signings below 50m. Antony's price is a big risk, both for us and for him. It adds a lot of baggage to the player. If he flops it'll be hard to move him on. This is the problem with uber expensive transfers and/or uber expensive wages.

Yes, but the club just keeps making the same mistakes, again and again.

Nice to have a defender who seemingly likes being a defender and doesn't think he's Beckenbauer every 5 minutes
