You bang on about this like you’ve never seen a post match interview before. All managers do it. Fergie was the king of it. Flat out refute what the Journo is saying to protect your players and keep you in control. It’s so basic, it’s probably the first thing they teach you in media class.

Regarding the speculation over Ten Hag being on his way out. It’d be fucking stupid to sack him unless it gets Ole/Ronaldo bad.

If it’s gonna happen though, can’t wait for the next manager to switch to 3 at the back, reinstate Maguire, fall out with Bruno and alienate Garnacho because he hates wingers. And all the players he dislikes we’re stuck with because they all earn 300k a week. Gonna be a riot.

The club is briefing against him already

EXCL: Man United staff concerned by the influence of Erik ten Hag's agent Kees Vos over transfers with his agency behind Rasmus Hojlund and Sofyan Amrabat moves
@MattHughesDM

"If the players are shit, don't blame us" despite the club having a supposed system in place with a DoF, scouts, data analysts etc.

Yeah. Or to put it another way, the systemic structure for recruitment is so bad, Hag has had to try and fix it himself.

The only thing I give a shit about now is getting shut of the Glazers. Couldn't give a fuck about the manager or results; its like worrying about your fingernails when you have a life threatening illness.

That's my reading of it too. He's getting such awful suggestions or lists of galacticos and saying "nah, I'll give it a go myself".

Exactly. He's trying to fill the void in recruitment. He's never signed players in his life. He's always just been a coach. This is totally new to him, but what option does he have.

And you're right, it's hard to care about this stuff when the club is rotten to the core. We need another pitch invasion and occupation. Cancel the Bayern game. Make the Glazers' position untenable.

It needs something like the prospect of relegation to put the wind up the owners.

Ah well now we know then why the parasites in the club turned against him this summer. You can be sure that Maguire and Sancho’s agents picked up on this and told them, don’t worry, Ten Hag will be gone in a few months, stay where you are. Didn’t take long for all this to come out into the open, did it?

Senior club sources shared their concern that the manager repeatedly shows a preference for signing hardworking, hungry players with years of football ahead of them on reasonable wages.

Yeah how dare he try and introduce a wage structure. That’s not how we do things round here.
