That's my reading of it too. He's getting such awful suggestions or lists of galacticos and saying "nah, I'll give it a go myself".

Exactly. He's trying to fill the void in recruitment. He's never signed players in his life. He's always just been a coach. This is totally new to him, but what option does he have.

And you're right, it's hard to care about this stuff when the club is rotten to the core. We need another pitch invasion and occupation. Cancel the Bayern game. Make the Glazers' position untenable.

You can be sure that Maguire and Sancho’s agents picked up on this and told them, don’t worry, Ten Hag will be gone in a few months, stay where you are.
