I just googled how long Shaw has been injured for and saw this:

"Transfermarkt details that Shaw has suffered 29 injuries during his time at United, resulting in an astonishing 1,606 days out injured."

That's over 4 years out injured. He's missed 221 United games. He's only played 278.

We should have got rid fucking ages ago. I'd be surpsied if he plays more than 20 games between now and 2027 when his contract is up. He's turned into one of the worst buys post-Fergie.

Outrageous stats but it's a crowded field when it comes to worst buys post-Fergie. Don't think he even makes the top 10 as he's actually provided us with a few seasons where he was genuinely important, as opposed to others who have maybe provided a handful of games.

Reality on the ground now is, it's over for him. The last 18 months have killed his United career. Shame, because he had that run of a couple of seasons for Ole + Ten Hag's first season being consistently one of few 7/10 performers.

Does this mean it's Dorgu and that kid Leon next season as LB's? Fair enough as Shaw and Malacia are crocked, but that's a lot on a couple of young lad's shoulders.

That broken leg fucked Shaw. I generally feel sorry for him, but trying to get back for the Euros with England was a stupid idea for many reasons, and os the reason why so many fans have 'turned'. We should be trying to settle his contract, have him retire due to injury grounds and hopefully his contract cost is then covered by insurance.

He has been our worst ever signing about 5 years ago. Who's been worse? Phil Jones perhaps, but I think he was on much lower wages. Wages are a factor so Shaw gets this title. We've signed some worse players but at least they were more available than these two and haven't been here as long.

He's not the worst IMO cos for a time he was brilliant; solid in defence and clever in attack, making really effective runs in behind and into the box. Can't think of another defender that plays like that. He always does well at CB too.

For me Sanchez is still up there as one of the worst signings. There was little/no transfer fee but his wages were astronomical - the highest in United's history at the time - and he was utter shit. At least Antony had some flair and banged in the odd belter from the left. Sanchez was just a bloke running about on half a mil a week.

Fair enough but that's where we disagree. I thought Shaw wasn't a good player - he just showed patches of form like Rashford. Sanchez didn't stay long enough to qualify.
If you went back in time and were forced to make one bad signing among Shaw or Sanchez with the same outcome, then you'd pick Sanchez because at least the outcome is getting rid of him after a season. With Shaw you know the outcome is more than a decade of unavailability even if he was good (according to you) when fit.

Antony played well again, scoring a goal after 10 mins. And Malacia was the highest rated player in his debut for PSV.

Top managers fail at United, so do top players - and also decent players like Antony and Malacia.

Think some players are waking up to the fact that if they care about their career, they should leave United.
