It’s as clear as day from yesterday’s game that De Gea is finished under ETH. He’s not what Erik wants and he’ll be replaced. Dreadful and embarrassing yesterday.

Also, Garnacho needs to be a starter ahead of them all. Sancho needs to up his attitude and bollocks. He makes Martial look like prime Mike Tyson!

Completely agree. Gea is a huge problem, second only to us needing a proper striker. And Sancho ain’t up to it.

There’s still a lot of shite in this squad.

Overview of our squad by position from The Athletic. Doesn't teach us much new but shows the scale of the job still on.

If we manage to shift most of the players many have judged to be undeserving of their place, it'll be a skeleton crew to be honest. Have to accept that some of the middle of the road players will be here for a season or two yet. Hope Ten Hag finds a way to phase them out in favour of youth.

Turning this squad into one capable of winning major honours will take a minimum of 3 transfer windows, will need at least 7 or 8 players bringing in - and probably nearer 10-12 assuming not all will work out. That means we need:

Around £500m of Investment
Capable recruitment/sales approach
An effective strategy that's centered around winning.

All of which, needs ownership change. Unless and until that changes, we're circling the toilet bowl.

The club has posted some stats albeit cherry picked ones indicating Eriksen runs the most in our team.

The amount of sprints are important. I suspect Eriksen will fall very short there.

Furthest run is such a bullshit stat. I'm sure Fred would feature very highly too but are we then saying Fred + Eriksen is a midfield that could dominate a half decent team?

On top of that, these stats are measuring our players against our players. Not saying he is (and i'm sure he is not) but he could be the best of the shittest running team in the league and we now need to congratulate him for running more than the rest of our shite?

If maguire doesn't leave the club, he's showing he has no ambition to actually play football, and is happy to waste the remainder of his career sitting on the bench.

Suppose Southgate picks him regardless, so his England spot isn't even at risk, but its up to him what he wants to do with the few good years he has left.

Phil Jones is officially not a United player anymore. The end of an era.
