Becoming a real fucking problem this. The window opens in 3 weeks FFS and we have no idea what's happening.

Are the cunts waiting for CL qualification to be confirmed, to try and squeeze a few extra quid out of the bidders....? Are they deliberately delaying to create even more urgency from the bidders to just say 'fuck it, here's a little extra'? Anyone buying the club will be desperate to get in and have real influence for the summer.

Cunts. Fucking parasites.

From the article:
The Premier League's latest rulebook provides for scrutiny of commercial transactions with associated parties in order to prevent clubs gaining an unfair financial advantage.

Under the rules, deals must be struck at 'fair market value' with an assessment undertaken by an independent third party.

Although a deal cannot technically be stopped, clubs could be forced to renegotiate them if they are not deemed to be consistent with market prices.

Looking forward to Richard Masters taking on bin Salman over this. It's never gonna fucking happen dot com.

Unless Masters fancies being chopped up and stuffed into suitcases.

Something that just occurred to me as well. One of the main arguments City fans and sympathisers use against any sort of financial controls is that it's like pulling up the ladder and stopping any other team that isn't already successful from competing.

I wonder how they'll view it if the Saudis can't get away with it as easily as they did. Is that City pulling up the ladder after them? Or is that unfair and the Saudis should be able to cheat on contracts to their heart's content, eventually eclipsing city through their sheer wealth?

I've seen City fans calling for FFP and fairness. It's fucking preposterous.

There's an argument Nev makes for allowing a limited amount of external wealth into clubs to close the gap. This is cos he's put millions into Salford. But for me, is that even necessary. Well run clubs with good recruitment and the right expertise like Leicester, Brighton, Sheff United - loads of examples - can punch well above their weight and even win trophies.

The trouble is how do you regulate much dosh an external owner / org put in. For example, no one is telling bin Salman what to do cos he controls western oil supplies. He does what he wants, see Khashoggi and the lass from Leeds uni they've imprisoned.

Also the wealth disparity is growing in the Prem but not just cos of states, but because the gaps between league finishes is getting wider. Previously the team that won the league got roughly the same prize money as a team that finished in the bottom half. That is/was the Prems strength. That's changing now, the gap is becoming significant. Not as bad as other leagues, but it's nearly there. And when you throw in state / billionaires doping clubs, you end up with a league where a doped club has won something like 8 of the last 10 leagues. Shit, essentially.

I'd be more inclined to think that "forced to renegotiate" is more of a euphemism for "chuck us a bung to find it all within the rules"

This is exactly it. I have to admit, I was drawn in by that argument for a time when Fergie was still in charge and it looked like City might be a bit of a circus like Chelsea. Course it seemed unfair to have the two of them doped up to the eyeballs but glazernomics hadn't really bitten yet and it felt more like United could see them both off in terms of sheer pulling power,

10+ years down the line and it's clear I was naive. Rich clubs will always do well, if only in fits and starts when they have poor leadership, but true dominance comes from being able to take hits on the chin. The Glazers' model has seen to it that every hit - be it a poor transfer, poor managerial appointment or some bad luck here and there - has dealt a body blow that we've never really recovered from. Just slowly spiralled down.

City can absorb hits. Guardiola doesn't get on with the current CB? Release him and sign a new one. Full back is a rapist? Sign a new one. Striker complaining about game time? Sell him and buy two more. We had the might to be able to take a couple of hits too but it's been slowly pissed away to the point where we have to loan squad filler in January just to make up the numbers.

That's the true crime IMO. No matter what you say about United or Liverpool's dominance, it never created an unfair playing field. What Abu Dhabi have created goes against the very fabric of what sport should be.

Don't forget Joel's utter bollocks statement a while back, more communication with United fans, etc. the full sum of zero has happened. They just have to drag literally everything out. Sell the club and fuck off, for the love of God. I'm genuinely terrified of the cunts staying on fulltime. I've read if INEOS buy the club - the two gimps get to stay on the board - for christsakes, sell the club and move on. If it was any other workplace, the Glazers would be turfed out on incompetence alone.

One other observation, i genuinely laughed out loud yesterday, with the reports earlier in the week saying that the sale of the club could go through tomorrow Friday.

With the fucking chuckle brothers that are Avram and Joel Glazer?? Bob Hope and fucking no hope, they are cretins.
