Highly paid lawyers and PR people are on the case now to make Maguire sound like a hero, while the cops that arrested him and even more so the tabloids will be out to do the opposite. Most likely he was just a drunk twat acting like a drunk twat, and most likely because he’s also rich and valuable to a rich club this will all go away.

Gerard fucking punched someone in the face on CCTV and got off free. Pretty sure Maguire will be fine for whatever he did on a party island, with no recordings so far. If the Greeks really push it, that will mean he was well out of order.

Not necessarily, cos they could use Maguire to look tough. Their cente right gov are trying to crackdown on bad behaviour to "regain the country" and all that right wing bollocks. Maguire would be a scalp.

BBC: Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has been found guilty of repeated bodily harm, attempted bribery, violence against public employees and insult after his arrest on the Greek island of Mykonos.

No talk of any actual evidence like CCTV in either of the BBC or Sky articles. Sounds like a gov wanting to appear tough.

It's interesting how, of the three defendants, Harry Maguire got found guilty of all of the charges and the other two, only a subset of them.

Obviously, I don't know the guy from Adam but he just doesn't seem like a twat so, with - obviously - some amount of bias, this really seems like a stitch up for a trophy scalp.

Still, at least we can now follow the adventures of Harry Maguire, fugitive from the law. He'll not be going back to Greece any time soon.
