I think that's what we saw with the Caroline Flack case, if memory serves. She was charged with assault over an incident with her boyfriend.
I Googled that and yeah I think you're right. Maybe she or someone she knows released the video to ruin his career in case he gets away with it in court like rich people do all the time. This way at least he faces some kind of justice. Fair play IMO
One thing is for certain: she wouldn't have taken the audio and photographs if she didn't have a purpose for them and that purpose wouldn't have been as a cherished memory of her time with a monster.

If she was ready with the audio, then perhaps its safe to assume this wasn't the 1st time he had acted in such a way. If someone was doing that to you, I guess you'd want evidence to back it up, if/when it became too much, and you wanted to get out of that environment and get the police involved.
The dads response was pretty bizarre though.

Yeah, that's the thing that just doesn't make any sense. If she were my daughter, i'd want him strung up for the physical abuse if nothing else. I certainly wouldn't be saying that they were very much in love.

I think it's a bigger problem across football, not just United. Look at all the stuff going on with Mendy at City and Bissouma at Brighton.
Mark Goldbridge (whose content I follow quite regularly) mentioned yesterday that young footballers often grow up with a sense of entitlement because everyone is telling them how great they are.
At the other end of the age spectrum, certain allegations have been made against Avram Grant (without going into details here).
So I see it as a problem across football. You also wonder how much of this sort of stuff gets covered up by clubs, especially when there's this fixation with protecting the brand.

Maybe. But the culture under Fergie didn't stop Giggs knocking his Mrs about and snagging his Brothers wife. The culture of the game is definitely rotten though

Was arrested in november for alleged sexual assault in a nightclub. Still went to ACN as out on bail:

Not just football either, the issue is everywhere. Young lads watching porn thinking that this is what women want in real life, urban music/tv/movies portraying women as subservient, bragging chat down the reccy over a few fags and swig of vodka......it's this self entitlement mentality that has crept in in the past couple of generations....
