City won the super cup making it 5 out of 6 trophies but there's barely a mention in the media or on social media. Their treble wasn't that big either considering.
I think this is the existential crisis at work. I think the general feeling is their success is bollocks. The 115 charges cast a shadow. But I feel like even if they're found innocent, people know. They were found guilty of cheating in 2014 which also helps.
Problem is, City will win more this season. They might even take all the major trophies again. Newcastle will also continue to rise and take their unbeatable place at the top, ripping up all the rules on the way. So that compounds the crisis.

10 man West Ham beat Chelsea 3-1

I could very easily see both Newcastle and Villa finishing above us this season.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑1 year ago 10 man West Ham beat Chelsea 3-1

It felt like, for moments, both teams thought fuck it, run down the clock.dozer wrote: ↑1 year agoRule change saying what?Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑1 year ago There was 10 mins injury time before half time in the Newcastle v Villa game. Newcastle spent a good few minutes running down the clock by knocking the ball between the defenders.
They found a way to rest basically, and it was shit to watch.
If this carries on then I can see a rule change.
It's fine to pass the ball among your team. It's up to the opposition to commit and try to win the ball.
If it were so easy no team would be able to make a comeback.
Read this (confession?) from Mike Dean. These referees have some serious mental issues. He deliberately decided not to make a var call because he didn't want to call the on field ref Anthony Taylor to the screen. Why? Because Taylor is his mate and he didn't want to cause him any grief. What kind of retarded logic is that? How does informing the on field referee of a foul cause him grief? Isn't that the point of VAR?
His argument makes no sense. They're just brain damaged and normal human beings can make better decisions than these people. All this var not re-refereeing nonsense is just them protecting their jobs. Referees must only be around to enforce decisions and as much as possible we must have decisions made for them using tech by nameless people. It shouldn't be the on field refs call. He's just an enforcer, like the third umpire in cricket.
Refs have too much protection and they're just protecting their jobs.

States started doing this, so UEFA and the Prem caved cos they have no clout over powerful nations, so now anyone can do it

Another standard £50m deal for City. Sure their fans would tell you it's evidence of good negotiating but it's looking more and more dodgy with every deal.
Pretty much nailed on that Newcastle will soon only ever be doing £50m transfers too.

Meanwhile we often have to pay a £50m 'United Tax' before we even start.
£150m bid from Saudi for Salah. This will carry on for the next few weeks as they try and poach names for ridiculous money whilst the european windows are closed. It'll be a tactic to weaken european football.
Here in Germany the Saudi League has appeared on DAZN out of nowhere. UEFA saying it's nothing to worry about and is the same as China... disagree. This is a power grab in the making.

I didn't know that. DAZN has worked closely with Saudi via boxing to land huge fights. It's shown in 130 or so countries. "Build it and they will come" - it seems they're starting to arrive.Felwin wrote: ↑1 year ago £150m bid from Saudi for Salah. I know they've opened the door to private equity as well. The PIF is getting the league up and running but eventually it will run itself.
I saw the comments from UEFA - part of me thinks they're right, part of me thinks they're fools. The Chinese attempt at dominating football failed because the new premier pulled the plug for financial reasons but also because he didn't like football. It was partly a vanity project for the outgoing fella. That's not gonna happen in Saudi cos bin Salman is going nowhere.
US foreign policy is the thing that's gonna stop it, if anything. The Americans want the NUFC / PIF chairman banged up. But that's unlikely to happen cos bin Salman is responsible for about 10% of the US' oil.
I'd missed that. I've got DAZN but I cannot see me watching the Saudi crap.Felwin wrote: ↑1 year ago £150m bid from Saudi for Salah.
