Go back and read the gash being written about Rashford after his first couple starts... then tell me it didn't get ridiculous!Sid wrote:Yeah you really get it in the neck from us pro Rashford lot when you say he isn't that good, it's relentless attacks towards anybody that makes so much as an observation that we deem wrongAlfonso Bedoya wrote:I don't think he is... Whisper that carefully around here though, as there are those who just won't have it... he's a lock, a nailed on superstar who's going to replace Rooney, and be part of Uniteds all conquering attack for years... the top teams in Europe are lining up to steal him away because we can't offer him Champs league football next year... I even read that Real are considering offering us Ronaldo in a straight swap...

Ah yeah, it's early days, I agree. I'm just saying, you couldn't ask him to have done much more than he has, so far so good. City have a young player who's arguably been more impressive, but he also gets a lot more proper scoring opportunities in that team. What really impresses me about Rashford is that he continues to creates chances and score goals in a team with as pedestrian an attack as ours. In fact, he probably deserves a good amount of credit for the overall improvement in our attacking play in the past couple of months.Alfonso Bedoya wrote:Maybe... but it's so familiar, especially around here... explosive first impressions, and he's the next outrageous talent, who's going to make all the difference...bman2 wrote:He's been remarkably dangerous in a team that doesn't create much. Don't think you could ask for better from a kid his age, so you'd have to say he's looking very good so far.
tbh he looks a lot better than Welbeck already. Has an eye for goal, for starters.

It's not, the kid is shit hot. I talk about his technique, pace, movement and shit like that. It's all detailed specific shite, not cheap hype. It's nowhere near as ridiculous as the Inquisition shit, invading threads, attacking people for unrelated stuffAlfonso Bedoya wrote:Go back and read the gash being written about Rashford after his first couple starts... then tell me it didn't get ridiculous!Sid wrote:Yeah you really get it in the neck from us pro Rashford lot when you say he isn't that good, it's relentless attacks towards anybody that makes so much as an observation that we deem wrongAlfonso Bedoya wrote:I don't think he is... Is this going to be the new thing we argue about for the next 6 months, form camps, use to get out some real life anger - whether Rashford is good or not?
You can count me out. Although I won't have a choice but to take part because I say positive things about him so I'll be accused of hyping him and saying he's the second coming etc so you can have something to rail against
Or if we're following the strict narrative that literally nothing good has happened under Gaal then saying something positive about a class young player like Rashford will be seen as justifying Gaal's tenure, so I'll cop it then as well

Right... I know exactly what you're talking about... like I tried to give up on these stupid arguments... but you get tired of seeing nonsense written without firing back, yeah?
But you don't write nonsense... eh Sid?

I think the truth falls between both points of view.He is neither brilliant or 'gash'. He is a young player who appears to have all the attributes to become a very good footballer but,as with so many,he has the chance of not making it. This is,to a greater extent, due to the clubs. In my opinion Rashford is already being given too much game time.He needs to be progressed properly. He also needs to be aware of the pressures both the club and his agent will put on him, both will be out for short term gain. If he has a good agent and the club manage him properly then he has a chance. If not he will go the same way as all the other 'wonderkids'.
At present he is a very good prospect, nothing more, nothing less.He could become a very, very good player but that is in the future.
'My posts should be written on scrolls tbf'.Shouldn't that be 'written by trolls'?

Remember when we scored two goals early doors against lower placed teams and then the manager brought on our young prospects to get game time. No pressure, they could express themselves and the team let them know when they fucked up. Or did i just dream this........? Seems to me this one or two chances that need taking puts ridiculous pressure on young shoulders.
