Yeah true, press briefings like Moyes getting the boot

We've become a ridiculous club

Apparently Woodward loves to brief the press - desperate for the adulation of fans - hence the pursuit of Cavani to land a 'superstar'. Moyes knew he'd need their support too - even took them out to dinner on the tour. Gill/Fergie didn't give a fuck about the press, or the fans.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... ed-holland

"Van Gaal has given Ed Woodward, United's executive vice-chairman, an A, B and C list of desired players. The prime potential acquisitions include Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben, who does not take his place in Holland's squad until after Saturday's German Cup final, the winger's club team-mate Thomas Müller, an attacking midfielder, and the Borussia Dortmund central defender, Mats Hummels. Van Gaal has also approved Southampton's Luke Shaw and Bayern's Toni Kroos, who were identified as transfer targets during Moyes' tenure."

Robben, Muller, Hummels, Kroos and Shaw. Going to have another shit summer, aren't we.

TBF, Peter Kenyon effed us on Robben. He finished his gardening leave and told Chelsea exactly how high we'd go in bidding for him. As for after Chelsea, lots of folks missed on that. Sneijder too. I have never liked Robben but he has held up longer than I ever thought he would. Seems to have gotten past the "made of glass" reputation too. Still, better than AY? Yes? Worth big money at this stage and with United's other priorities? No. He'll, we already spunked 15 mil on Zaha. Give him a go at left wing. LvG loves young players, right?

If it's anything like last summer, we'll be linked with all sorts of quality players, but only manage to bring in Robben at a ridiculous price. I don't want him only slightly less than I didn't want Fellaini last year.

Don't want Robben and Benzema would mean RVP or Rooney moving on. Rooney is better than Benzema and Van Gaal loves RVP. Plus he didn't want us when we wanted him.

These are all just 'stories' and have no merit. We actually have no idea who Van Gaal wants as he doesn't even officially have the job yet. Plus our club has become a train wreck overnight so that will detract top players who want CL footy and some stability.

Are you a Rooney supporter or do you support the club? Robben is a much much better attacker than Rooney ever was.
