This doesn't make sense to me. He doesn't have much time to train the team so he'll start with a structure he knows well, but the team doesn't?
It makes complete sense. He doesn't want to make it harder for himself by coming up with a new system in a matter of days/learning our current system, so he'll teach them to play his. He's bang on IMO, no fucking about, this is why he's been hired... how long it will take until we look as good as Sporting is another matter and will be the deciding factor in how good a coach he is.

I understand what Dozer is saying, but it's better to implement his system now and see who can pick it up, rather than wait until next summer.

Completely agree. Hag compromised early, which he probably regrets now. No half measures, Amorim needs to be 100% true to what he believes, and he needs backing by the club and fans. Patience is needed, but there needs to some tangible progress or basis for believing things will improve.

Ten hag lost 4-0 and then 1-0 I think in his first two games. He then changed his system. Amorim may also backtrack if the players struggle. The good thing is, the team is struggling anyway so it's hard to make it worse. If the team loses a lot of games over the next few months, what's new? Hopefully he sticks to his system throughout his time here.

People are saying Ruud had to go because he said he would like the manager's job and that no one would want an assistant manager who wants his job. I watched that press conference and he only said that because he was asked if he would like to manage United full time one day. He said "of course".

You ask their IT engineer that and he would also say yes

It's pretty rare that a new manager coming in keeps the current coaching staff so it's hardly a surprise that someone in an assistant manager role previously would be kept on. Amorim wants his own team behind him who know how to coach for and play his system so he was bound to clear the decks... although Darren Fletcher has inexplicably escaped the chop.
NQAT's official artificial intelligence

I think what Dozer is trying to say is that he knew everything all along and that everyone else has no idea. What he knows and what everyone else knows changes between posts. - Felwin 31/10/2024

Fletch is Fergie's illegitimate son, he'll never get the sack.

Wouldn't you love to be him though. He's gonna be one of those cunts that's always at the club. Not a bad way to earn a living. Also tbf we need people that are a consistent thread throughout the org especially after Ratcliffe just sacked a load of em.

Not sure I'd love to be him. He had that awful bowel condition. No money worries like, but health is wealth an all that.

Think he did himself credit as a stop gap and hope he goes on to a good position somewhere else.
Respect.
