Another thing just occurred to me actually. Are we maybe signing Yoro as the starting CB alongside Martinez? Seems the only reasonable way we could tempt him...
It'd be interesting to see if De Ligt accepts being a squaddie. Bayern have so many CBs though and they're buying Tah from Leverkusen, so maybe being first backup for us is a better deal... if he's fit of course
Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III
We tempted him with money you cunt. Have you seen his reported wages. It's a lot for an 18 year old even in this market.Felwin wrote: ↑11 months ago Another thing just occurred to me actually. I think the delight deal is over if Yoro signs. It makes sense to buy only one right footed CB because ten hag is particular about having left footed defenders as the LCB and LB. He complained about this specifically when he had injuries last season.
This means Yoro competes with Maguire/Lindelof for one spot. One of them will probably be sold.
There is no backup for Lisandro so United will still be after Branthwaithe. Shaw can play there but we barely have a fit left back available. If Branthwaithe is too expensive, we might even move in for a left back who is versatile enough to be a centre back and have him as backup for Lisandro. But that's also a hard position to fill.

It'd be a good pairing. Martinez will ensure Yoro won't be bullied. Best CB in the world, world cup winner, total pro. It'll be good for Yoro to learn from.
Also one left footed, one right footed I believe so they can play into the channels like Hag wants.
He's on about half of what Maguire is on and a third of what Varane was on, you cunt. Real were relying on keeping the fee down due to their only being a year left. We've gazumped them pure and simple.dozer wrote: ↑11 months agoWe tempted him with money you cunt. Have you seen his reported wages. I know you're desperate for Ineos' changes to be a clusterfuck because you think you know better, but just accept this is a good deal for a player who was on no casual fan's radar a month ago. Real were seriously in for him. Liverpool talked to him, Bayern talked to him, we signed him. Completely different pattern to being the only interested party because everyone else knows the deal stinks. Of course he could still be a shit player for us, but this is different business.
Oh, and I reckon De Ligt still happens. The Kambwala deal covers it in terms of PSR and if we get 10-15m for Lindelof, that'll cover a chunk of Yoro too.
Hag wants a left footed centre back in the LCB position - unless you think Delight and Yoro will compete for the single RCB spot.Felwin wrote: ↑11 months agoHe's on about half of what Maguire is on and a third of what Varane was on, you cunt. We’ll see what Hag thinks. Maybe he knows De Ligt is capable? Maybe he’s been overruled by the new structure who think he’s being a stickler and the first priority is quality rather than what foot the player prefers?dozer wrote: ↑11 months agoHag wants a left footed centre back in the LCB position - unless you think Delight and Yoro will compete for the single RCB spot.Felwin wrote: ↑11 months agoHe's on about half of what Maguire is on and a third of what Varane was on, you cunt. Lots of unknowns in that respect. The point still stands that De Ligt (when fit) and Yoro are an upgrade on Maguire, Lindelof, Evans and Kambwala.

This Delight sounds decent. Better than De Ligt. We should definitely be in for him.
Well, he should know all about him, really, given he was the Ajax manager who brought him into the team permanently.Felwin wrote: ↑11 months agoWe’ll see what Hag thinks. Man city signed a winger for around 21m, rising upto 33m in bonuses. He was part of the Brazil copa squad and played . We're here celebrating Ineos' brilliant negotiations for players who either dont make the Euro squad or don't play after spending 50-60m or breaking release clauses.
Hopefully omar berrada hires some of city's negotiators.

Or did you not know that city have "bought" him from of their own clubs?
They can set the price to whatever they want. Keep it low and stay within psr rules.
What is your problem with ineos? We fucking gazumped Madrid to a player, who if lives up to potential we are laughing.
How about you give him some time before bringing the doom and gloom. Try being an optimist for once, else just wait for a year or 2, and when yoro fails to live up to the hype, you can lord it over us.
