I thought he had potential, shame the manager wants to sell him for peanuts and pay fortunes for not much better.
Does seem low. I think our tactic seems to be sell cheap but with big sell on clause or cheap buy back.

Yeah it's a bit low but it's good to get some income. All goes in the coffers.
He wasn't signing a new contract so it's a good move to sell him.fat maradona wrote: ↑4 months ago I thought he had potential, shame the manager wants to sell him for peanuts and pay fortunes for not much better.

€10m might seem low but the way the signings are all amortised + the way PSR works, that effectively amounts to €40-50m this season as he's come out of the academy. If he didn't want to re-sign and they think he won't be a top player, fine, take whatver money you can IMO.
Not sure we should be looking to ape Chelsea, even if it's where football is going. Some of these fees for players stink to high heaven of corruption anyway. And now this book value stuff is enshrined in PSR, it's just going to massively inflate fees for academy players playing for the state owned/backed clubs. Just selling one of them for €50m is enough to cover a massive wodge of money that would otherwise have to be proved as revenue, or in Abu Dhabi's case, pumped in by bogus independent sponsors.

How does this amount to 40-50m now?Felwin wrote: ↑4 months ago €10m might seem low but the way the signings are all amortised + the way PSR works, that effectively amounts to €40-50m this season as he's come out of the academy. He's an academy graduate so his book value is zero (in spite of the fact we paid a couple of million for him from another academy). This means the €10m gets counted as pure profit under PSR, whereas any player we buy this window will be amortised over the length of the contract (usually 3-5 years) so will only show as e.g. €10m for a €50m player on the books.dozer wrote: ↑4 months agoHow does this amount to 40-50m now?Felwin wrote: ↑4 months ago €10m might seem low but the way the signings are all amortised + the way PSR works, that effectively amounts to €40-50m this season as he's come out of the academy. That's if I've understood what I've read about PSR and amortisation, Maybe the more finacially savvy on here can explain better.

Manchester United have had a €62m (£52m) offer for Leny Yoro accepted by Lille and the defender must decide whether to accept the move, with Real Madrid also interested.

One of the top young CBs in the world. Would be a great signing by the looks of it.

Apparently it's either him or Delight. I was hoping we ditch Branthwaite because of the ridiculous transfer fee.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑4 months ago Manchester United have had a €62m (£52m) offer for Leny Yoro accepted by Lille and the defender must decide whether to accept the move, with Real Madrid also interested.
