So we're near the PSR limit due to these losses, so it's essential to reduce costs aka sell big earners in order to buy new players, especially top players.

I don't know anything about Zirkee, but if it means we ship out some of the crap as a result then I'm all in favour.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑4 months ago Zirkee is a done deal. 40m ish euros.

From the little I know he's tall, powerful, good on the counter but possibly a bit shit. I've seen people question his overall quality.swampash wrote: ↑4 months agoI don't know anything about Zirkee, but if it means we ship out some of the crap as a result then I'm all in favour.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑4 months ago Zirkee is a done deal. 40m ish euros.

Probably not a starter but then right now we're an 8th placed team that's in a pretty serious financial mess and needing massive investment. So maybe a signing befitting of where we're at.

He’ll take Rashfords place on the left. If we can sell Rashford for more than we paid for Zirkzee, then we’re getting an upgrade (based on Rashfords inconsistent form) and some money to spend elsewhere. I think it’s a good signing tbh, he allows us to play a different system.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑4 months agoFrom the little I know he's tall, powerful, good on the counter but possibly a bit shit. Doubt it. He'll start up front. Actually think he could be first choice to let Hojlund develop more. At the very least, push him for his place. £35m is a steal for a squaddie/starter in the current market. We're Europa League too, so it's our level like Sid says.fat maradona wrote: ↑4 months agoHe’ll take Rashfords place on the left. Romano saying we're negotiating with Bayern for De Ligt having already agreed a 5 year deal. Looks like it's happening.
Is his injury record as bad as people are making out? I know he's had recurrent knee ligament injuries. Such injuries can change you as a player.

From what I heard he's had injuries only the last season and all the injuries were different ie no recurring injuries. I'm not certain about this. Swampsy or Felwin who follow German football might have better information.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑4 months ago Romano saying we're negotiating with Bayern for De Ligt having already agreed a 5 year deal. It wasn't a recurring injury last season, but it was the same knee he got operated on for a ligament tear, so that could be a worry.dozer wrote: ↑4 months agoFrom what I heard he's had injuries only the last season and all the injuries were different ie no recurring injuries. When you look here he's stayed fairly fit but definitely misses several weeks a season. Dislocated his shoulder a few years back and the knee ligaments this season.
Like I said previously, it could be an amazing signing as he's young and clearly a top CB, but it could end up being another anvil around our neck we don't need.
Tbf I'm so cynical now, I wouldn't be surprised if we have Martinez+De Ligt for the first 5 games, looking fucking ace, then they both get crocked and we're stuck with Maguire and Kambwala for 5 months
