Manchester United have made an opening bid in the region of £35m for centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, which is set to be rejected by Everton.
From BBC so sounds legit
He'll be a replacement for Varane

Yeah it sounds like this one has legs. Not convinced by him tbh. I think he's more Maguire than Varane.

That was my thinking, that he's quite slow and not best suited to a high pressing team. They're gonna be in for another CB now Varane has gone. Also Maguire is 31 and beset with injuries, so he's probably not a starter now (thank fuck) so this makes sense.JoelfuckingGlazer wrote: ↑5 months ago Yeah it sounds like this one has legs. But I'm not sure who has identified him given that the ceo and DoF aren't in post yet. I hope this isn't another player the existing set up have identified (cos he's young and english) and we're pressing on with it.

Bastoni is class. Strong, quick and can play. He recently signed a new deal but we should work on him now, let him know we want him, then in a season or two pounce.
He'll be around 27 then so a great age.

Looks like INEOS are cooking on a slow burner ready for a feast! Finally run properly as a club.
Also, what’s up bitches!?

We're still mostly chasing Dutch players and staff so I'm skeptical.brianofnazarethffs wrote: ↑5 months ago Looks like INEOS are cooking on a slow burner ready for a feast! Finally run properly as a club.

Others here are more optimistic and think the Dutch factor is just a coincidence. Let's see.
Koeman hasn't started Delight. He's 24, he should be at his prime, but a 32 year old defender gets picked ahead of him.
Van Gaal also didn't start him iirc - I'll be calling him Delight more often. It's easier to type.
Tuchel didn't start him for Bayern and now Kompany wants him out. He's also had plenty of injuries recently but I think he's not been too bad prior.
Didn't Juve also get rid of him somewhat quickly after paying a huge fee? I don't know why.
I can overlook all of this... somehow, but his wages are also top tier wages, I hear. This means he'd have to be a starter and not a squaddie like Lindelof for him to be worth something to us.
Let's be honest, wages are the only reason he'd come here. He's rejected us in the past.
We should be swapping him for Sancho rather than paying a fee for him.

Beek looks like he’s off to Girona for about €5m. Another player ruined by poor recruiting at United.

The UAE have down us a favour taking him. Feels good getting him off the wage bill.

Never heard of him.
