A loss to Chelsea, which I expect, and another drubbing by the scousers which feels nailed on, and he'll be done.
Players have had it to easy for too long , the media is saying he has lost 50% of the dressing room , then i say get rid of that 50% .... because probably its the same 50% who have questioned the previous managers ......
No doubt though that it will be Ten Haag gone though as you say , then we are back in the same cycle....

Too many players have been prominent in the continued cycle of failure. Rashford, Martial, McTominay, Shaw, Maguire, Dalot, Lindelof. Varane and Casemiro are problems in terms of age, as is Eriksen. Even Bruno has to come into the mix. Mount missed a ton of games last season when Chelsea were a mess, same here. Martinez is fine and hopefully his injury will be sorted properly.

Onana, Martinez, Malacia, Amad, Pellestri, Hannibal, Mainoo, Hojlund, Garnacho. Some as first teamers, some as squaddies, but that's the core of the squad to build around. On the basis they're still relatively new, Mount, Antony should be kept for now. Eriksen is low maintenance and as a squaddie, is fine. Shaw and Bruno are not priority exits but should be on the last chance saloon notice. The priority exits are Martial, Sancho, Van De Beek, Lindelof, Varane and I'm starting to think Rashford too - but he probably deserves a shot after the 'reset'. McTominay ain't good enough, neither is Amrabat or Maguire, but you have to do it in stages.

Still, there are probably 10 who need to leave over the next 2-3 windows and the same to bring in. But those numbers have been the same for 10 years. No window moves us forward over the longer term.

I'm in the sell Rashford camp. He has had more 'low confidence' seasons than he's had 'he's undroppable' seasons. After last season I thought he'd finally come of age and we'd see more of the same going into his peak years but it takes the smallest of things to knock him out of his stride and forever to get him back into his stride.

We've got some good youth coming through and supplemented with relative no names (like the kind Brighton routinely dig up), we won't be any worse off than we are with this bloated squad full of mercs.

What do you reckon, sacked before Liverpool batter us?

It would have some logic behind it. But then logic and United don't go together

A lot of variables here. A key factor is what Ratcliffe thinks; he's either got to double down and really back Hag, or if he's not convinced, engineer his sacking before he officially arrives to minimise the flak he'd get. I reckon he stays in for the next 2 games, which we'll lose heavily, then Hag is sacked on the back of those two, then the investment announcement will come just after with the veneer of a brave new dawn. That's my bet.

The players need to be sacked before the manager.

Ten Hag has an easy solution. He needs to play 2 holding midfielders always. Teams cut through our centre too easily.

Mainoo, Amrabat and Casemiro compete for the 2 holding midfield spots.

Bruno, Mount, Eriksen, McTominay and Van De Beek (lol) compete for the single attacking midfield spot.

And don't fucking play Luke Shaw as a CB when we're leaking so many goals.

How about sticking McTominay up front - seems to be the only one who knows where the opposition goal is?

Yep. I'd take that.
Even yesterday it was McT who found himself in the best goal scoring positions. Hojlund does a van de beek when we're near the opposition penalty box, building up an attack. He has no strikers instincts. He's always available when we're hoofing it forward for hold up play. But I think McT can do that.

I think that's why he's in the team. He compromises the team as a whole but scores goals. It's Fellaini all over again. It's last ditch from Hag who just needs goals.
