Chelsea lose again, this time at home to Forest
Chelsea are us but worse. They've spent a billion but are a complete mess. It's not all about spending, it's about organisation, direction, competence.

I honestly think VAR is corrupt. Just watching Sheff Utd v Newcastle, and Newcastle have scored a goal with 2 contentious review point - a handball from Gordon who provides the assist and possible ball over the line like Rashfords against Brighton. For ours, VAR reviewed it for a good 2-3 mins, multiple angles and framing. Newcastles, they looked at one replay and decided in about 10 seconds. Its dodgy as fuck.

I mean, the football authorities wilt in front of states as we've seen. Rules, even laws are flouted cos oil states > football governance. So it makes sense that this is something they could influence.JoelfuckingGlazer wrote: ↑1 year ago I honestly think VAR is corrupt. Bin Salman and the like truly don't give a fuck. The credibility of the game is ebbing away thanks to stuff like insider trading, 115 charges. Rigging games isn't out of bounds. If not now then in the future.

I noticed Chelsea lost again. 1 win in 6. 3 losses. Us but worse.
Their fans are learning the lesson that money doesn't buy success unless it's backed up with organisation, intelligence and competence.

This adds to football's existential crisis. The payments continued throughout Peps reign at Barca. If that Barca team, probably the greatest ever club team, was cheating then fuck football, cba.
@TheAthleticFC
The investigation into payments totalling €7.3million (£6.4m; $7.8m) Barcelona made to a former referees chief has widened, with the Catalan club now facing further charges.

I can remember thinking I was really clever in the early 2000s with my “we should play the ref, not the game” argument because that’s how Spanish and Italian teams would play in the later stages of the CL.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑1 year ago This adds to football's existential crisis. Now I’m glad we did strive for some semblance of fair play. Not tainted like Juve, Barca, Real, City etc.
Imagine supporting a club where serious doubt could be cast on title victories. Beyond the Fergie conspiracies and all that shite.

That's my feeling with Juve after the match fixing scandal that took down serie a. They had several titles stripped, some say they should have had more. As a fan I'd feel cheated, robbed, lied to. It'd be powerful enough to put me off investing in the sport ever again.Felwin wrote: ↑1 year agoI can remember thinking I was really clever in the early 2000s with my “we should play the ref, not the game” argument because that’s how Spanish and Italian teams would play in the later stages of the CL.Fuck the Glazers wrote: ↑1 year ago This adds to football's existential crisis. 1 legit title is worth a million rigged or influenced titles.

Prem refs have been paid by the UAE to ref one off games in their country for handsome fees and 5 star treatment.
How the fuck is this allowed when the UAE has a vested interest in the Prem via City?
Why Prem refs? What are the UAE getting for their money?
These are owners facing 115 charges of corruption and cheating, and were found guilty in 2014.

Hate to sound like a 90s-2000s Scouser with my conspiracies but our run of “unlucky” decisions is ridiculous. Since that dodgy Wolves one we got away with on the opening day, we just get dodginess every time. Reminiscent of when we went on that run of Bruno scoring pens and the FA “consulted” the managers and “decided” to make it harder to get pens.
