Just about to kick off against Leeds. Anyone else watching?

Yeah, for what's worth. Very mixed side, first pre-season friendly so its largely what you'd expect. Some smart stuff from Fernandez, Amad and Mainoo though. And Mount looks very energetic, you can see his high press and why Hag wanted to bring him in to add more legs with the technical ability.

I see Martial is missing it. Through injury.

Fuck me.

Fernandez does look good. Mejbri is putting himself about well too. I presume we'll see a more or less complete change in lineup for the second half

As for Martial, he's quite good at sicknoting himself when the transfer market is open.

Both our centre halves (Fish and Bennet) look far better and more mobile than Maguire. Kept Leeds' first team front line pretty quiet.

Then it's time to move mct on regardless of whether we sign yet an other midfielder. Mainoo must at least be a squad player.

What I’m looking for are signs that Amad and Mainoo are ready to contribute this season. Mainoo’s a deeper midfield player, right?

Yeh, a Casemiro type. Stays deep, reads the game, plays simple progressive passes. Mainoo has come on loads since last season and once he develops that body strength, he'll be ready for the PL.

Mejbri looked good yesterday too but he's more of an attacking midfielder. Quite hot headed and loves going for the ball. Once he curbs that and becomes less of a liability, I'd say he'll see plenty of game time if we keep him.

Rumors Onana will start against Arsenal

Tbf to the shitblokes at the club they've got the deal done with enough time for the cunt to bed in during pre season. We need it too cos it represents a huge change in style and approach.

Imagine that classy cunt playing it out to Martinez whose mint in tight spaces. It will attract opposition players and allow us to play between the lines. You can see it working really well eventually.
