He's probably ass.

I called it last season when I said the goalkeeper must be the first to go. Guardiola did the same with Joe Hart and that was when Hart was considered to be among the best in the world. Pep shocked everyone.
He didn't shock me. I called it from day one. He's not good enough and incredibly nervous.

Not without investment. The club is still loss making and there's not a lot of wriggle room within FFP. This is set to get worse as Teamviewer stop being the main shirt sponsor. A new shirt deal (if Arnold gets his finger out) is set to be less. The 200k wage cap is obviously an issue when buying top players too.

The season ends in 6 weeks. Hag, the players, even the non-Glazer board members need answers on the sale process.
Completely agree on the urgency and importance or getting it sorted. But for me, its nothing to do with whT happened tonight. There have been way too many occasions where our arse has fallen out, just like tonight, over at least the last couple of years. There a distinct lack of talent and character in this squad and its always the same culprits. Gea, Maguire, Lindelof, Martial, Bissaka, Tominay, Sancho. These are the fuckers that always fail.
I still think it's harsh putting Sancho on that list. He's been awful but he joined a squad in meltdown and had all hopes pinned on him, only to be overshadowed by Ronaldo a few weeks later. Whatever your opinion on his off-field issues, the guy has something going on that is massively affecting him. He's not carried the team like people seem to be expecting, but he's not been a key reason why we've failed in the way those defenders on your list have been. They've consistently shat the bed in big moments in the last few years.

I know I'm pretty much in a minority of one now but I still think he can come good - it might require too many signings though so his future is probably somewhere else. Can see him doing a Depay who was comparibly tippy tappy and never got going while playing for us. Might end up at Barca.

Like you lot I have zero confidence for Brighton. They're better than Sevilla, younger, hungrier. If we can't deal with a load of 35 year olds pressing us then Brighton will be 3-0 at HT.

I'm certainly not dismissive of anything he might have going on that impacts his mental health. If that is the case, I have a huge amount of sympathy for it, and I have to say that Hag has given him every bit of help and support in how we'd approached Sancho's position.

But, 2 years in, I don't see a player. What's he got? He's far too safe, can't beat a man, doesn't score goals, doesn't create. He makes very little attacking impact. He doesn't shit the bed like some of our defenders do, but his attacking contribution massively holds us back. I just don't see anything there. If he were on the market, we'd get 30m tops. He's been a massive flop.

IMO it's a square-peg thing. He, like many others post Fergie, is a victim of our shite transfer policy. Dortmund pressed high, used him for one two's/give and go's and to hold onto the ball while runners got in. We play like that at our very best but Hag has had to default to counter-attacking for much of the season because it suits Bruno and Rashford.

I'm not trying to excuse him too much because a top player would be able to adapt but he seems to be good at a very specific style and we just don't play that way - yet.

I still think part of the problem is playing him wide on the left.

Sancho is like Mata without the game intelligence.
