Re: Greenwood

Can't see him staying for 2 reasons.

1. The emphasis Hag places on unity and team spirit. Retaining him would be divisive, and given the effort he's made in shaping the culture, he won't risk it.

2. The pressure we'll be under from sponsors.

Re: Assessing our squad

We just have the right manager don't we? It's taken 10 years, but finally we have a manager where every bit of you goes 'yep, trust him completely'

I just hope he's properly backed. He'll take us right to the top.

Re: Assessing our squad

Mason Greenwood's rape charges have been dropped. Does that mean he comes back to play? I think the club will try to not okay him because it'll be a pr nightmare if he does. But legally I don't think they can. Legally there is no reason for them not to. What does that mean, there wasn't enough evid...

Re: Assessing our squad

It's obviously a difficult one, but I believe strongly in the presumption of innocence unless proven guilty. On that basis, I think he has to be given a chance to resume his career amd should be allowed to do so here. But either way, we won't be seeing him this season. Purely in football terms, whic...

Re: Assessing our squad

I wouldn't think Sabitzer will be involved at all tonight, and will likely be on the bench at the weekend.

Re: Assessing our squad

The shithouse in me wonders whether Hag has worked to overstate the injury to Eriksen, to force the clubs hand in bringing in a midfielder. Probably bollocks, but you never know.

Re: Unrealistic summer transfer wankfest III

Have to say, as fucked as the finances are, it's a good sign that Hag's team is doing all it can to make the team better under the constraints. Thin up front, no money, who's available who can offer what we want? Weghorst. Not a world beater but massively needed. Injury problems in midfield? Who's ...

Re: Assessing our squad

Although, I thought it was a risk from Ten Hag to not rotate more heavily in that Reading game. Not sure you can really blame the manager, he has been managing his game time up to now, sure in hindsight would have been great to have dropped him for it, but not like it was a muscle injury, just that...

Re: Assessing our squad

100% on the Glazers. Little else we can do, than a loan signing. Always though Sabitzer was decent, definitely better than Tominay
